I usually go to the Seafood Bar but decided to try another place for fish and chips recently. While eating it, I was just reminded of the freshness and quality of the Seafood Bar and I was trying to pretend I was eating their food. There is just no comparison. Great serving sizes, fresh, full of flavour, whether you get the burgers, fish and chips, calamari/prawns etc you won't be disappointed. I regret trying somewhere else!

A great small shop cooking fish fresh to order, or you can purchase it fresh to cook yourself. Lovely owners and great quality seafood. Keep in mind that it is cash only, but it’s not a problem as there is an ATM just a quick walk away.

We called into this place yesterday whilst visiting the area and craved for some good old fashioned fish n chips, and we weren't dissappointed. The shop was nice and clean and the two guys serving behind the counter were lovely to deal with. You can watch as they take your fresh seafood out of the window and batter and fry it right in front of you. That was an unexpected treat. We chose their deal 3 for $40. It consisted of 2 huge pieces of battered fish, 2 battered crabsticks, 2 battered scallops, 4 crumbed calamari rings, 2 crumbed prawns and a good lashing of chips. OMG, it would easily have fed four people and everything was cooked beautifully. These guys have most certainly got their act together when it comes to producing mouth watering food that's cooked to perfection at great prices. A visit to Daylesford would not be complete without tantalising your taste buds at this little gem tucked away in country Victoria. Well done guys...

The owner Peter and his family and staff are sensational. We drove all the way to this shop from Williamstown for the freshest fish and chips and seafood. Peter also runs a very clean shop.... and all with a smile. Thank you Peter. All cooked fresh and delicious.

Whilst on holiday I decided I wanted a Steak Sandwich. However when I ordered, I was told they had no steak? Anyway, I was then offered a hamburger instead. I said no worries and proceeded to order and also minimum chips. Besides a huge long wait for the food, nearly 40 minutes, the experience was still very good. The staff extremely friendly and caring for all the customers that came in. The burger was brilliant, large and filling. The chips also were delicious. If I can say one thing though! No EFTPOS??? This will need to change in the world of mobile phones! As a service to customers, you need to offer this payment method! Not just cash. Thanks again for the yummy food

This fish and chips shop is quite famous. Waiting for your order to be cooked can be quite long during the weekend or holiday season. However, the fish is fresh and tasty worth the wait. The only accepted payment method here is cash only. Parking is available off the street.

We ordered 2 grilled flakes, and a cheeseburger for our daughter. The fish was one of the best we've had and our daughter ate all of the burger. I usually eat what she hasn't finished, so I was disappointed she ate it all! Lol. Good friendly service too. I won't hesitate to go back next time we stay in Daylesford. Bravo.
